Warehouse/Production Trainer

POSITION TITLE: Warehouse/Production Trainer

LOCATION: Sacramento

COMPENSATION: $18-$30/hr., $500-$1,500 signing bonus

DESCRIPTION:

Under general supervision, the Warehouse/Production Trainer monitors client product production. Employees in this job class train staff, review quality control, and resolves production issues, while interacting with staff, and management on a regular basis. This job class requires knowledge of workflow and scheduling in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to effectively train others to produce client production outputs in a safe manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Sets up work, directs workflow, and monitors the progress of projects through to completion.
  • Ensures adherence to procedures, regulations, and guidelines while minimizing errors and safety risks.
  • Trains, and monitors staff to assure the quality of work and progress of orders.
  • Acts as a liaison between floor staff and Production Foreman to coordinate production schedules and changes, address employee issues, and foster communication.
  • Participates in departmental and staff meetings on a regular basis.
  • Observes behavior of clients while performing job, on transportation, and/or breaks, and responds to potential problems to minimize confrontation and/or ensure the safety of individuals.
  • Creates a variety of documents including memos, performance summaries, and reoccurring reports including client attendance, case memos, and incident/accident reports.
  • Works alongside assigned department, in both production and supervisor capacities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The following are required to enable jobholders to perform the primary tasks of the job.

  • One year of related prior work experience in manufacturing, production, or scheduling.
  • Knowledge of specialized departmental equipment operation including forklifts, pallet jacks, pushcarts, scales, and shrink-wrap production packaging equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy to use business software to enter data/retrieve data.
  • Human relations skills to build effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving and common-sense skills.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • AA Degree (preferred)

CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED:

The following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state, and/or contract requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License

Sheet Metal Fabricator/Production Worker (Will Train)

POSITION TITLE: Production Worker/Sheet Metal Fabricator

LOCATION: Sacramento

COMPENSATION: $15-$18/hr.

DESCRIPTION:

Topnotch Metal Products is looking for an energetic sheet metal fabricator with a “Get it Done” attitude that takes pride in result of his or her work. Under direct supervision, the Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating HVAC sheet metal products following strict quality guidelines.

The candidate in this position will perform duties within an assembly line which can entail the set-up and operation of sheet metal fabrication equipment and the processing of raw material to finished assembled product.

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Setup and operation of fabricating equipment
  • Reading and understanding work orders
  • Working with hand and power tools and large sheet metal equipment
  • Inspect processed parts ensuring that quality standards have been met
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures and protocols
  • Perform required housekeeping routines and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Communicate any quality issues to the supervisor
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
  • Two (2) years minimum experience in a metal fabrication environment is preferred but not required (will train).
  • Ability to work 25 hours a week for part-time, 40 hours a week for full time
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
  • Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident

Sr. Maintenance Mechanic

Position Overview:

An established manufacturer of HVAC sheet metal products is looking for an energetic and experienced individual to provide maintenance and repair for all of the company’s machines and equipment.

The ideal individual will have at least ten years of mechanical experience and be familiar with machine shop equipment that would assist him or her in the repair, upkeep or enhancement of the machines used on the production floor. Additionally, the candidate will communicate with the manufacturers of various machines to understand best practices to help define the company’s preventative maintenance program and prevent downtime.

The candidate must be knowledgeable of safety standards (i.e. LOTO, Machine Guarding, etc.) required by OSHA and adhere to other company safety policies. If you take pride and keeping machines and equipment in top running order, we would like to hear from you.

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of building and shop equipment in order to troubleshoot and perform or coordinate the repair of all vehicles, tools, and machinery used throughout the Company
  • Ensures that equipment is operating at peak performance by performing preventative maintenance duties on a scheduled basis
  • Remove, repair and replace defective parts by dismantling equipment using hoists, cranes, and hand or power tools
  • Address emergency situations immediately and professionally
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and quotes on repair needs and/or equipment parts
  • Communicate with machine operators to understand mechanical problems
  • Keeps records of each machine up-to-date in CMMS software
  • Checks and determines parts and supply inventory levels needed to accomplish preventative maintenance tasks
  • Provides training to operators on the proper use of equipment to prevent downtime and eliminate defects in produced product
  • Adheres to all company and OSHA safety requirements including the use of proper PPE and required LOTO procedures
  • Adhere to any documentation requirements related to maintenance activities with sufficient detail
  • Ensures equipment and/or components are properly packaged when being shipped for return or repair
  • Responsible for properly packaging tools or equipment when shipping parts for maintenance or repair
  • Keeps good house-keeping standards by ensuring tools, supplies and locations worked on are organized and clean
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or reviewing technical publications
  • Other related duties as assigned by management
